Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of the memory of children as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victimization in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of many awards at international and national levels. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world on policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
